Dr. Stanley Sy

For over two decades, Dr. Stanley Sy has practiced medicine where it matters most: at the bedside of patients facing their most vulnerable moments. From the controlled chaos of the intensive care unit to the quiet dignity of hospice rooms, his career has been defined by a simple, unwavering commitment—to meet patients where they are, with the expertise they need and the compassion they deserve.

Dr. Sy’s journey began at the University of California, Irvine, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1991. He then returned to his family’s roots in the Philippines to study at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, earning his medical degree in 1996. His training continued in New York City—first at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center for Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary fellowship, then at Montefiore Medical Center for Critical Care fellowship.

In 2004, he brought this expertise to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, where he has served as a Hospitalist, Intensivist, Neuro-Intensivist, and Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine Consultant ever since.
